Kyrgyzstan is set to enhance its textile and clothing industry with the establishment of a new testing laboratory, following a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz company KyrgSert, and China's Xinjiang Tianyu Engineering Testing.

The agreement, signed at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan aims to strengthen cooperation and facilitate an investment project to create a laboratory that meets international standards.
The upcoming laboratory will serve as a crucial facility for testing textile and clothing products to ensure compliance with both national and international quality standards. It will also issue certifications confirming product safety for consumers and the environment.
Additionally, the facility will provide consulting services to local enterprises on quality assurance and safety measures, fostering the adoption of international certification standards.
By implementing this initiative, Kyrgyzstan aims to improve the competitiveness of its textile and clothing products in global markets. The project is expected to facilitate exports, positioning Kyrgyz manufacturers as reliable suppliers of high-quality goods.
Recently, Kyrgyzstan and China also finalized investment agreements in the energy sector, Two major agreements were signed with Shenzhen Energy Group for the construction and operation of a 300 MW wind power plant and a 300 MW solar power plant in Kyrgyzstan. These projects will support the country's renewable energy development, attract investment, and enhance energy security.
Additionally, a series of agreements were signed, including a joint statement on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership and a cooperation program integrating the Belt and Road Initiative with Kyrgyzstan’s national development goals until 2026. Other memoranda covered key areas such as the digital economy, poverty reduction, tourism, trade, and social insurance.
