Turkish Aerospace Industries welcomes president of Uzbekistan to demonstrate technological advancements
During an official visit to Ankara on June 6, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev toured Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TAI) to gain insight into the company's operations and technological advancements.
President Mirziyoyev was introduced to TAI's diverse range of products, production processes, and international scientific collaborations. Established in 1984, TAI is Turkey’s leading technology hub for designing, developing, modernizing, manufacturing, and integrating aerospace systems, including fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and satellites.
TAI’s Global Position and Achievements
In 2023, TAI was ranked among the world’s top 100 defense companies, reflecting its significant role in the global defense industry. The company has an annual revenue of $1.5 bn and employs over 15,000 people, including about 7,000 engineers and more than 6,500 technicians, emphasizing its technical expertise and innovation.
During the tour, President Mirziyoyev viewed various samples of TAI's products and received briefings on the company's production methodologies and international collaborations.
President Mirziyoyev also learned about other key enterprises in the Turkish defense sector, specializing in a wide range of weapons and military equipment.
The visit included demonstration flights of TAI's aviation equipment, showcasing the technological capabilities and operational performance of Turkish aerospace products.
