Uzbekistan–Turkiye trade rises 43.8%, investment reaches $3.2bn

The Uzbek-Turkish Business Forum was held at Hilton Tashkent City, bringing together representatives of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan (MIIT), the OSTIM Foundation, and around 170 companies to discuss trade, investment, and industrial cooperation between the two countries, according to the press service of MIIT on May 5.


According to the data presented at the forum, bilateral trade has increased by 43.8% over the past five years, while investments reached $3.2bn in 2025. It was also noted that around 2,200 joint ventures are currently operating in Uzbekistan across sectors such as construction, logistics, and textiles.
The forum included discussions on sector-specific cooperation, with participation from companies such as Aksa Enerji, Anadolu Group, Demir Export, Bashkent Radiator, Kapeks Kimya Sanayi, Normlab, Argest, Cleanfix, City, Titan, and Mitto. The talks focused on potential projects in the energy and chemical industries. Participants also reviewed priorities related to increasing the share of green energy generation, developing agriculture, and utilizing institutional frameworks such as IT Park and the Tashkent-Pharm Park cluster.

On the institutional level, UzTMK signed memoranda of cooperation with several organizations, including the Turkiye Wealth Fund, Ciftay Construction and Contracting Trade Inc., MTA International Company, ARGETEST, KAPEKS Kimya Sanayi A.S., GEMAR, DAYK Group, CAKA Mining, KAYEN Mining Inc., and Labris Mining and Machinery Industry Inc. The agreements are aimed at expanding cooperation in industrial, mining, and technology-related areas.
During B2B and G2B meetings, participants discussed opportunities for cooperation in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Attention was given to the development potential of the regional pharmaceutical market, estimated at $9bn, as well as prospects for establishing new joint production facilities and expanding investment in medical technologies.
