In a bid to bolster the burgeoning digitalization sector and amplify service exports, the president of Uzbekistan, through Resolution No. RP-87 dated February 26, 2024, has rolled out a series of supplementary opportunities tailored for residents of IT Park engaged in export activities, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan reported.
Termed as the "Zero Risk" program, the resolution encompasses several key provisions aimed at facilitating the growth of IT Park residents. State buildings and premises are now available, free of charge, for a term of up to one year, subject to recommendations by IT Park. Additionally, the acquisition of new computers, equipment, and machinery procured by IT Park is granted for usage, exempt from charges for a one-year term, with subsequent payment to be made within a three-month interest-free period.
Moreover, wage expenses are set to be reimbursed up to 15% over the course of one year, proportionate to the number of personnel engaged in labor activities, alongside partial reimbursement of expenses for human resource development.
In parallel, the "Local to Global" program is geared towards catapulting IT Park residents onto the international stage. Under this initiative, IT Park will provide free consulting services, commonly referred to as export mentoring, to assist residents in navigating global markets.
Furthermore, up to 50% of expenses for entering the global market will be covered within predefined limits, and half of the expenses incurred for training on esteemed international platforms and educational pursuits will be reimbursed. Additionally, the "One Million Uzbek Coders" project promises free training on online courses in high-demand export directions, further nurturing the pool of skilled talent within the country.
Expanding the horizon of Uzbekistan's IT prowess on a global scale, the resolution aims to attract foreign companies to the country and secure foreign orders. To this end, IT Park representative offices will be established in Germany and Saudi Arabia in 2024, serving as focal points for international collaboration.
Moreover, regular international events under the banner of "Uzbekistan IT Days" will be convened in foreign countries, fostering exchange and cooperation in the realm of technology and digital innovation.
