Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Uzbekistan on the evening of February 7. The high-ranking guest was welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other officials. After a short conversation, the President of Belarus left for the next destination according to the visit program.
Afterwards, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the Humo Arena sports complex in Tashkent to witness the match of the Kazakhstan championship between the hockey teams "Humo" and "Nomad" (Astana) was taking place at Humo Arena.
At the end of the match between the "Humo" and "Nomad" hockey teams, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Belarus were handed hockey uniforms with their names.
Reportedly, Lukashenko's visit is marked by a comprehensive agenda aimed at enhancing the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus. Central to the discussions are strategies to bolster mutual trade turnover and foster collaboration across various sectors, including agriculture, light and food industries, pharmaceuticals, and communications.
