The commencement of the construction of a mountain recreation complex in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan, supported by Russian investors, marks a significant development in the region's tourism infrastructure. The project, known as the "Qarqira" mountain recreation complex, was initiated with the active participation of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, during his practical visit to the Issyk-Kul region on December 6.
The press service of the President reported that the envisioned complex, designed to adhere to international standards, is set to become a year-round mountain recreation facility with resort status. The estimated cost of the ambitious project, to be executed in multiple phases, amounts to a substantial $191mn.
The press service, while not disclosing the names of the Russian companies involved, did mention the participation of businessman Arkady Chernov, who is recognized as the owner and co-owner of various Russian enterprises. According to the "Tazabek" internet publication, Chernov actively took part in the ceremony marking the commencement of construction.
"I believe that by building such a complex, we will use our natural resources for the benefit of our people and our country,"
remarked President Japarov, expressing confidence that the implementation of the "Qarqira" project will significantly contribute to strengthening economic and cultural ties with Russia.
