One of the key topics explored during the meeting was the prospective construction of a wind power plant in the Zhetysu region, with an impressive capacity of 1 gigawatt. The investment earmarked for this ambitious project is estimated at $1.8bn. Both leaders acknowledged the significance of such initiatives in advancing Kazakhstan's commitment to sustainable energy practices and addressing environmental concerns.

Muhammad Abunayan conveyed ACWA Power's keen interest in expanding its footprint within Kazakhstan and contributing to the country's burgeoning green energy sector through impactful investment projects. The Chairman expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration's potential and the positive impact it could have on the local economy and the global push for sustainable practices.

President Tokayev, in turn, welcomed ACWA Power's eagerness to invest in Kazakhstan and underscored that such initiatives align seamlessly with the nation's aspiration to position itself as a regional hub for the development of renewable energy sources.

The president commended ACWA Power for its noteworthy endeavors, particularly highlighting the construction of the world's largest solar power plant, Noor Energy 1, in Dubai. The project, valued at $4.6bn, stands as a testament to the company's commitment to pioneering sustainable solutions on a global scale.
