A Dubai resident has been commended and thanked by the Dubai Police for her watchfulness and quick response, which successfully prevented a kidnapping attempt.
Nouf Al Mazrouei, the vigilant resident, shared her account of witnessing two men attempting to forcibly place an individual inside their vehicle in the Al Muraqqabat area. She was on her lunch break, waiting for her food order near a restaurant when she noticed the unfolding incident.
Al Mazrouei grew concerned as she observed the men compelling the person to enter their car. Based on their appearance and actions, she deduced that the men were pursuing the individual.
Fearless and quick-thinking, she confronted the men, urging them to desist and leave the person unharmed. In response, they assured her that there was no cause for worry, as the individual was an employee of their company. The victim did not resist or seek help. Nevertheless, the abductors managed to load the victim into their car and fled the scene.
Al Mazrouei memorized the car's license plate number and promptly reported the incident to the police. Within minutes, a police patrol arrived, took her statement, and initiated action. Shortly afterward, the suspects' vehicle was intercepted on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Major General Abdullah Al Maasam, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, credited this brave woman's prompt action and courage for enabling law enforcement to trace the vehicle and rescue the victim.
"Her vigilance and determination proved instrumental in our apprehending the suspects and ensuring the victim's safety. We extend our gratitude to her for her dedication to safeguarding the emirate's security," stated Major General Al Maasam.
Dubai authorities expressed their appreciation for Ms. Al Mazrouei's heroism by presenting her with a certificate of recognition at the Bur Dubai Police Station.
"We hold her actions and her sense of responsibility in high regard, qualities that we hope to find in every member of our society. The residents of the emirate are our most crucial partners in enhancing Dubai's security," added Major General Al Maasam.
