During the qualifying round of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup, Uzbekistan's OTJ team competed against Afghanistan on September 6.
The game kicked off with a goal by Zhasurbek Zhalaliddinov from a free kick in the 12th minute. Aliabek Davronov became the scorer of the second goal for Uzbekistan in the 36th minute. Just a few minutes before the end of the first half, Umid Musavi scored a goal, narrowing the gap.
At the start of the second half, Timur Kapadze's students took charge of the field. This time, Husain Norchaev marked a goal for Uzbekistan. Then, in the 53rd minute, Norchaev completed a brace. A minute later, Zhasurbek Zhalaliddinov also scored his second goal in the match.
Uzbekistan managed to net 3 more goals in the closing minutes, with goals credited to Gusein Norchaev, Alisher Odilov, and Muhammadkadir Khamrolev. As a result, Timur Kapadze's football team secured a resounding victory with a score of 8:1.
In the second match of the qualifying round, Iran triumphed over Hong Kong with a score of 3:0.

Timur Kapadze's team won 2:1 against China. Jasurbek Jaloliddinov and Alisher Odilov scored goals for Uzbekistan, while Jia Feifan scored a goal for China.
