As of the first seven months of 2023, Kazakhstan ranks among Uzbekistan's top three foreign trade partners.
From January to July 2023, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached $34.9bn, a 23.3% increase from last year, according to the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
China is the country's top trading partner, with a turnover of $6.9bn (19.7% of the total). Russia follows in second place with $5.3bn (15.1%), and Kazakhstan is third with $2.49bn (7.1%).
Regarding trade, Uzbekistan exported $807.7mn worth of goods to Kazakhstan and imported $1682.7mn.
Reportedly, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan reached $5bn by the end of 2022.
