The United States will hold presidential elections in November 2024, and despite the event being over a year away, the competition among candidates for the presidency has already commenced. Currently, the number of individuals vying for the position has exceeded ten. Navbahor Imamova, a journalist from the television and radio station "Voice of America," revealed this information during an interview arranged by Daryo.
Navbahor Imamova informs that candidates for the US presidency are currently focused on saving money, as the government does not allocate funds for their campaigns. Instead, they rely on special funds that require raising sufficient contributions from individual Americans. The race is intensifying with new contenders entering the field almost every week, particularly from the Republican party. Notably, Joe Biden is expected to represent the Democratic party in the presidential race.
Imamova mentioned that the rating of presidential candidates holds significant importance in the United States. Ratings are conducted regularly, evaluating public opinion.
Currently, President Biden's rating ranges between 35-40 percent, which reflects a notable negative reality. However, similar situations have occurred during previous presidential terms, and the White House remains confident. Donald Trump maintains a high approval rating of around 75-76 percent among Republicans, making him a prominent figure. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis follows with a rating of 65-67 percent, while other candidates lag behind significantly, according to the Voice of America correspondent.
