Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the candidate for the presidency of Uzbekistan from UzLiDeP, emphasized the importance of knowledge, education, and training as the main foundation of the new Uzbekistan in his pre-election program.
He recognized the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Academy of Sciences as a significant milestone for Uzbekistan's scientific development.
Mirziyoyev highlighted the crucial role of the youth in building the New Uzbekistan, considering them a decisive force. To unleash their potential in knowledge, culture, art, sports, and entrepreneurship, a new system will be created. He reiterated that knowledge, education, and upbringing will serve as the main pillars of the new Uzbekistan.
As part of this vision, at least 50 joint study programs and a "double degree system" will be introduced in collaboration with the top 500 foreign universities. Additionally, 500 talented young individuals will be sponsored by the state to study in prestigious foreign universities, focusing on biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and other high-tech fields. An allocation of $200mn has been dedicated to this initiative.
Mirziyoyev expressed pride in the youth's active engagement and their hopeful and confident outlook on the country's future. He emphasized that today's Uzbekistan is different from the past, with the achievements and victories of the youth serving as evidence of this transformation.
Addressing the youth directly, Mirziyoyev assured them that the government will create favorable conditions and opportunities for the realization of their abilities and talents. He regarded each young individual as a son, daughter, or grandchild, embracing their achievements and victories as his own. He urged them to uphold the high trust and love of Motherland and its hardworking people, motivating them to always be deserving of such respect and support.
