Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, will be traveling to Samarkand on April 14, "TASS" reports.
The purpose of his visit is to attend a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers for the CIS countries.
Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, shared this information and stated that Lavrov will be present at the event in Samarkand. Many foreign ministers from various Commonwealth countries have also confirmed their attendance at the meeting.
Sergey Lebedev, the Secretary General of the CIS, mentioned that the Uzbek side has expressed its readiness to host this important gathering.
