Uzbekistan's startup carrier, Centrum Air, has surpassed an impressive milestone, carrying over 500,000 passengers in 2024, its first full year of operations.
According to a representative of the privately-run airline, nearly all of Centrum Air’s flights in 2024 were international. The carrier expanded its reach by launching several new routes, connecting Uzbekistan to destinations such as Batumi (Georgia), Dubai (UAE), Doha (Qatar), Guangzhou (China), Salalah (Oman), Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt), and Sri Lanka.

Throughout the year, the airline’s fleet logged over 3,000 flight hours. Centrum Air also grew its fleet by adding three aircraft—two A321neo and one A320ceo—bringing its total number of Airbus narrowbody aircraft to six.
Looking ahead, the airline plans to expand further in 2025, with a focus on maintaining an all-Airbus fleet. The carrier intends to add two A321ceos, two A320neos, one A321neo, and three A330-300 long-haul widebody aircraft.
This significant fleet expansion will enable Centrum Air to launch 17 new routes starting in the Summer 2025 Navigation. These new routes will predominantly focus on Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Russia.
Among the new services to be introduced from Tashkent are flights to Moscow, Kazan, and Novosibirsk (all in Russia), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Dushanbe (Tajikistan), Tbilisi (Georgia), as well as Seoul (South Korea) and Tel Aviv (Israel).
Additionally, the airline will offer flights to Moscow from six more Uzbek cities: Bukhara, Urgench, Termez, Fergana, Namangan, and Samarkand.
Centrum Air began revenue operations in February 2023. It is part of a broader group that includes My Freighter, Uzbekistan’s largest cargo airline.
