ACWA Power partners with Apex Life Insurance to boost employee well-being in Uzbekistan

ACWA Power partners with Apex Life Insurance to boost employee well-being in Uzbekistan

In a move aimed at enhancing the well-being of its employees, ACWA Power, a leading Saudi energy company, has inked two agreements with Apex Life Insurance, ACWA Power reported. The ceremony, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, marked a collaborative effort to improve the quality of life for ACWA Power's workforce.

Attended by both domestic and foreign experts along with industry representatives, the event highlighted the importance of the agreements, according to Firuza Mavlyanova, Head of ACWA Power's HR department. Mavlyanova emphasized the focus on the Well-being corporate program for employees stationed at remote sites across Uzbekistan, as well as a unique insurance package tailored for their family members. The implementation of these programs is scheduled to commence on May 1, 2024.

Apex Life Insurance, renowned for its expertise in the life insurance industry since 2019, enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to collaborate with ACWA Power. Their diverse portfolio includes voluntary medical insurance, coverage for international travel, and long-term life insurance programs. The company's commitment to specialized insurance programs made it a natural fit for ACWA Power's innovative approach to employee welfare.

Central to ACWA Power's initiative is the recognition of traditional family structures prevalent in Uzbekistan, where multiple generations often live together. With elderly parents often residing with their children, ACWA Power aims to alleviate financial burdens by extending health insurance coverage to employees' parents. This innovative social package, a first in the Uzbekistan insurance market, underscores ACWA Power's dedication to its workforce's holistic well-being.

With ACWA Power spearheading 15 alternative energy projects in Uzbekistan, the Well-being program is designed to support employees stationed in remote regions. Recognizing the challenges faced by rotational workers, including stress and emotional burnout, the program integrates psychological and physical support services. Developed in collaboration with Apex Life Insurance, the program employs a multidisciplinary approach, involving medical professionals, nutritionists, and psychologists, to address the diverse needs of employees.
