The information and analytical system “Smart Data Ukimet” (SDU) recently secured a spot in the TOP 3 (highly recommended) at the Future of Government Awards 2023 in the Open Source Adaptation category. This recognition, among 300 projects from 50 countries, underscores Kazakhstan's commitment to leveraging digital solutions for societal advancement. Organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Public Digital, and AWS Institute, the award highlights Kazakhstan's contribution to global innovation.
Moreover, the "Digital Family Map" project garnered attention at the World Government Summit in Dubai, where it was crowned the best in the "Inclusive Digital Transformation" category out of 1,300 entries. Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and UNDP, this initiative showcases Kazakhstan's dedication to enhancing public services and promoting familial well-being.
The Digital Family Card, a flagship govtech solution within the "Digital Family Map" project, epitomizes Kazakhstan's innovative approach to social support. By streamlining government efforts to assist vulnerable populations, the system ensures efficient allocation of resources and timely provision of aid. The project was developed with funding from the UN Multilateral Trust Fund, highlighting international cooperation in addressing pressing societal challenges.
The GovTech Prize, awarded to the Digital Family Map, further underscores Kazakhstan's leadership in leveraging technology for the public good. This initiative, initiated by the UAE Civil Service Excellence Program, recognizes groundbreaking solutions that improve citizens' lives and tackle societal issues.
