The meetings aimed at fostering stronger ties between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom across various sectors.
Among the notable encounters was the meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Bobur Usmanov and Leo Docherty, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office of the UK. Discussions centered on the current state and the future prospects of political, interparliamentary, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations between the two nations.
Another significant meeting took place between Deputy Foreign Minister Usmanov and Andrew McCoubrey, the UK Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan. This encounter underscored the shared interests and collaborative efforts between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom in addressing regional challenges and promoting stability.
The delegation also engaged with Karen Bradley, the Chairperson of the British Group Inter-Parliamentary Union (BGIPU) and a Member of Parliament from the Conservative Party. The talks emphasized the importance of parliamentary cooperation in enhancing the bilateral relationship.
Throughout the meetings, both sides acknowledged the positive momentum in Uzbekistan-UK relations over recent years. There was a shared commitment to further elevate the political dialogue to new heights, reflecting the mutual interests and aspirations of both nations.

A diverse group of representatives participated in the talks, including officials from ministries such as defense, internal affairs, investment, industry, foreign trade, poverty reduction and employment, ecology, environmental protection and climate change, higher education, science and innovation, preschool and school education, as well as the National Center on Human Rights of Uzbekistan.
