Uzbekistan Airports recently met with representatives of the Korea Airports Corporation (KAC) in South Korea, sealing their collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, reported AKIpress.
The Acting Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports, Javlonbek Umarkhojayev, and KAC President Yoon Hyung Jung formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement encompasses various areas of cooperation, with a pivotal focus on a joint project aimed at establishing a state-of-the-art training center for airport employees in Uzbekistan.
The key highlight of this memorandum is the creation of a training center, leveraging KAC's innovative expertise. The center will be developed with the financial support of a grant from KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency), covering both construction and the procurement of modern equipment.
The scope of the memorandum extends beyond the training center, encompassing collaboration in the exchange of information and experiences related to airport management. Additionally, the agreement outlines cooperation in providing experts for joint projects and business initiatives. It also emphasizes joint programs and projects in the aviation industry, underlining the commitment to advancing personnel training for effective airport management.
During their visit, the Uzbekistan Airports delegation had the opportunity to explore KAC Aviation Training Centers in Seoul and Cheongju. These visits provided insights into advanced methods of personnel training, aligning Uzbekistan's aviation practices with global standards. Furthermore, the delegation visited Gimpo International Airport in Seoul and the Incheon Airport Aviation Academy, gaining valuable exposure to cutting-edge aviation facilities.
A noteworthy aspect of the visit was a meeting with representatives from JEJU Air, where discussions revolved around current areas of cooperation.
