Central to the talks was the shared commitment to strengthen economic collaboration between Uzbekistan and Malaysia. Both leaders expressed satisfaction at the recent activation of bilateral relations and the notable increase in the volume of mutual trade. The discussions emphasized the need to explore new avenues for cooperation, especially in economic sectors that hold the potential for substantial growth.
Various ongoing cooperation projects and programs in areas such as pilgrimage tourism were highlighted as positive examples of the growing partnership between the two nations. The leaders acknowledged the mutual benefit derived from these initiatives and expressed a desire to expand such collaborations further.
To solidify their commitment to elevating the partnership, President Mirziyoyev and King Sultan Abdullah agreed to convene a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission. This platform will serve as a strategic forum to discuss key areas of cooperation and address any challenges that may arise.
Additionally, the leaders proposed organizing a joint business forum next year, aimed at bringing together representatives from the business communities of both countries to explore investment opportunities and strengthen economic ties.
