On November 9, 2023, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, made a visit to Uzbekistan to partake in the upcoming Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit. The ECO summit serves as a vital platform for leaders of member countries to address regional issues, foster economic and political collaboration, and fortify regional stability.
Upon his arrival at Tashkent International Airport, President Rahmon was accorded a warm welcome by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, and other dignitaries.
Subsequently, the distinguished guest proceeded to the designated residence where he would be staying during the summit. The summit, hosted by President Shavkat Mirziyoev, is scheduled to convene on November 9, 2023. It aims to deliberate on various crucial aspects of regional cooperation, encompassing trade, economic ties, investments, transportation networks, and humanitarian collaboration.
As President Rahmon and other leaders from ECO member states gather in Tashkent, the stage is set for constructive dialogues, strategic discussions, and collaborative efforts to address common challenges and advance the shared objectives of the organization.
