The 2nd CAREC Program Capital Market Regulators Forum, themed "Working Together on Reforms and Innovations for Sustainable Development," is currently underway in Almaty. This gathering has drawn participants from various regions, including representatives from the National Agency of Perspective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPP).
Davron M., Deputy Director of the National Agency of Perspective Projects, highlighted Uzbekistan's intentions in this regard. By enhancing the technological underpinnings of the securities market, the country seeks to foster growth, efficiency, and accessibility within its capital market.
“Uzbekistan is working on introducing new software and hardware infrastructure solutions in the securities market. As a country with 38 million population, growing Internet coverage, growing capital market volume, it will be logical to further increase the growth of implementation of technological solutions in the country's capital market,” noted Davron M., Deputy Director of the NAPP.
The overarching objective of the CAREC Program Capital Market Regulators Forum is to fortify regional cooperation and integration efforts. It seeks to advance the development of capital markets across the participating CAREC developing member countries by facilitating the exchange of knowledge, enhancing capacity-building initiatives, and piloting regional projects. Among these initiatives are efforts to harmonize legal and regulatory frameworks, a critical endeavor for fostering stability and growth in capital markets.
