The "ICT Week 2023" event, commencing on October 25 in Tashkent, has brought together foreign delegations to discuss potential collaborations and investment opportunities within Uzbekistan's technology sector.
Ergash Saliev, the governor of the Jizzakh region, hosted representatives from French companies "Bocasay" and "Esokia," both affiliates of the "Maltem Group."
Among the participating delegations, a group from the Republic of Tatarstan, led by Ayrat Khairullin, the Minister of Digital Development of Public Administration, Information Technologies, and Communications, arrived to explore opportunities in Uzbekistan's technology landscape.
Discussions between the Tatarstan delegation and Uzbek officials revolved around potential collaborations in the information technology sector. The talks encompassed strategies to enhance the IT industry, improve digital infrastructure, and foster innovation in the region.
Governor Saliev introduced the foreign delegates to exhibitions and institutions in the Jizzakh region, including the Anjuman Palace, which showcased economic and social prospects. He also highlighted Jizzakh IT Park's branch, offering insights into the growing tech sector. Additional facilities such as the Cybersport Arena, Presidential School, Sambhram University, and the Jizzakh branch of the Kazan Federal University were presented as integral components of the local tech ecosystem.
