The My Uzcard app in Uzbekistan has undergone a rebranding and is now known as Plum, Gazeta.uz has reported.
The logo, featuring an intertwined ribbon, symbolizes the connections between family, friends, and colleagues. This rebrand aims to make the app more flexible yet strong, focusing on ease of use and reliability.
Plum debuts with the service of virtual Uzcard cards, a novelty in the local market. Initially, users can open virtual cards from Universalbank within the Plum app, with plans to include Uzcard and other bank cards later.
The Plum app offers several convenient services:
1. Transfers from Russian cards: Easily transfer funds from Russian bank cards to Humo or Uzcard directly within the Plum app. The conversion rate is transparent, and no additional fees are charged.
2. Cash withdrawal from the app: Withdraw cash from ATMs using the Plum app without the need for a physical card. Currently, QQB ATMs are connected to this service, and more ATMs will be added in the future.
3. Enhanced transfer benefits: Transfer fees between Humo cards are 0%, Uzcard cards are 0.5%, and between Uzcard and Humo cards are 0.5%.
4. Transfers by card number, nickname, or phone number: Swiftly send money to close ones using various identifiers.
5. Smart home integration: Input your data once, and it's saved for subsequent payments.
6. Traffic fine notifications: Register your vehicle once, and automatic notifications will help you pay fines promptly.
7. Widgets: User-friendly widgets allow you to monitor balances and essential information right from your phone's home screen.
These are just a few of Plum's capabilities. The app's creators are continuously working to improve services and introduce new features to enhance users' convenience.
Plum is not new to the scene; since 2017, Plum Technologies LLC has been creating user-friendly and secure financial products to simplify processes and improve the lives of individuals and businesses.
