The President's press service reports on the meeting, which took place on July 3.
During their encounter, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ursula Gachek focused on the preparation and potential rescheduling of the forthcoming presidential election. The President emphasized the establishment of a constructive dialogue, active exchanges, and effective cooperation with the OSCE. He highlighted the involvement of OSCE experts in the modernization of Uzbekistan's election system, including the development of the Electoral Code.
Furthermore, the OSCE ODIHR mission actively participated in monitoring the constitutional referendum held on April 30, providing valuable insights into conducting the national voting process in accordance with international standards. Ursula Gachek, head of the DIHB mission, expressed support for Uzbekistan's ongoing democratic reforms and socio-economic transformations. She commended the measures taken to ensure transparent and fair elections in the country.
