The demand for resort areas in Kazakhstan has surged by almost fivefold since the start of summer, media reports.
Usharal, Balkhash, Zaisan, and Urzhar residents are among those benefiting from the increased demand. Completing runway repairs at Urzhara and Usharal airports has contributed to the boost in order, allowing work to resume as usual.
This year, Aktobe and Turkestan have seen a 40% rise in tourist interest. The top five tourist destinations in the country are Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktau, and Atyrau, with a 20% average increase in interest during the summer season.
Almaty is considered the most popular city in Kazakhstan for tourists due to its ski resorts, picturesque nature, pleasant climate, and welcoming locals. In fact, it attracts the highest number of visitors in the country. In the first four months of the current year, 1,185,130 individuals have already explored the charms of this southern metropolis.
