The Uzbek Consulate General in Guangzhou dispatched ambassadors to participate in the presentation on "High-quality development and import of food, fruits, and vegetables," "Dunyo" agency reports.
Delegates from Guangdong province, the Ministry of Commerce, the regional department of the China International Trade Promotion Center, the executive board of the "Guangdong (China) Imported Food Association," and leaders from over 100 local importers and trade networks also attended the meeting.
Within the event, Chinese delegates observed the commercial potential of Uzbekistan and were provided with offers to import high-quality, organic goods grown by Uzbek companies into the South China provinces' markets.
Furthermore, Uzbek manufacturers and exporters are invited to attend the "Food2China Expo and the Guangzhou International Food & Ingredient Fair" in September of this year. Participation in the fair will allow them to boost the number of processed agricultural goods shipped from Uzbekistan to the 300 million-person South China area. They will be able to discover new importing partners and execute export contracts as well.
