Kazakhstan's mining capital hosted Karaganda Spring Poetry Festival on April 21-22, bringing together more than 40 poets representing Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Turkiye. The verses of the two selected poets will be included in the author's collections, the media reports.
'Karaganda University took over the organization of the festival. The best authors of the 20th century are performing at the event. We hope the festival will overt the names of poets for the 21st century. It would be good if such poetic holidays became regular', Zhanat Zhankashuly, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, told the media.
Earlier, Daryo reported that bus passengers in Karaganda can now download e-books via the QR code. Stickers with QR codes have appeared in 22 buses of the most popular routes. Soon, the e-library will be available on 60 more buses in the city.
