The protest brought to the court of cassation in the case of officials who forced underage children into intimacy in the Khorezm region is set to be examined in a closed court hearing on April 6.
'Today, the Supreme Court's criminal trial panel was informed of the decision of the appellate instance of the criminal trial panel of the Khorezm regional court that was issued against A.M. and A.K. on December 27, 2022. The Khorezm regional prosecutor’s office received a cassation protest to cancel part of the case and send the case to the appellate court.
This protest would be considered in a closed court session following Article 19 of the Criminal Procedural Code (public hearing of criminal cases in court) on April 6 the cassation procedure at the Supreme Court’s criminal trial panel,' the report reads.
Supplementary information is set to be provided after the trial.
As Daryo has previously reported, three underage pupils of a family orphanage were allegedly forced into intimacy with the heads of the provincial department of justice and district department for emergencies in the Khorezm region.
