Uzbek compatriots residing in Turkey are providing aid to those affected by the devastating earthquakes.
According to the official telegram channel of Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Istanbul, the diplomatic mission on Thursday (February 9) sent humanitarian aid (heating supplies, generator, warm clothes, etc.) worth $15,000, collected by representatives of the Uzbek diaspora to families in earthquake-hit southern Turkey.
At present, humanitarian aid is distributed through the employees of the O'zbekiston madaniyat, birdamlik va hamkorlik’ (Culture, Solidarity, and Cooperation of Uzbekistan) society in the Hatay region of Turkey.
