The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries Dilyor Khakimov has held business talks with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia, Ambassador Terhi Hakala.
At the meeting, the EU representative firmly stated that the economic union of 27 member states fully supports Uzbekistan in its will to join the WTO. To this end, a project worth €5mn was designed with the aim to speed up the Central Asian country's accession to the international economic organization.
Earlier Brussels stated that the Central Asian region is becoming one of the most important in world politics, so they see Tashkent as a strategic partner.
