October 20 is World Statistics Day. On this special day, the State Statistics Committee shared the figures related to Uzbekistan's activities noting that Uzbekistan took 4th place in the world in terms of the number of open data sources with 124 open data sources.
According to the "Open Government Information Index" of the United Nations "Electronic Government Monitoring 2022", Uzbekistan is among the countries with the highest (Very High OGDI) indicator. A total of 193 countries were evaluated in this index.
Uzbekistan ranked 61st out of 154 countries with a score of 67.8 in the World Bank's Statistical Capacity Index, which assesses the level of development of the national statistical system of countries.
422 sets of macro-economic, financial and social statistical indicators of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been announced in 24 directions in the expanded General Information Dissemination System of the International Monetary Fund.
The website (nsdg.stat.uz) for monitoring the achievement of the National Sustainable Development Goals was developed by the State Statistics Committee in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program and launched in Uzbek, Russian and English languages.
Currently, a total of more than 4,500 data sets in 3 languages (Uzbek, Russian and English) are posted on the updated and improved Open Data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In the Open Data Inventory (ODIN) ranking, the Republic of Uzbekistan scored 63 points, rose to 125 positions in the ranking, took 44th place in the world, and 1st place in Central Asia.
