Uzbekistan Airports has acquired a 23.3-per-cent stake in Central Asia Megastar LLC, which owns Duty-Free stores in Uzbekistan, "Daryo" finds out more from the transaction documents.
The stake seller, Uzbekistan Airways, has gained 400,344,000 soums from the transaction.
The main owner of Duty-Free stores, Premium Globe Investment Ltd. still owns the majority (51%) of the company.
The State Asset Management Agency owns 25.6 percent of Central Asia Megastar.
Uzbekistan Airports is trying to take a comprehensive approach to the development of airports.
For example, the company recently took control of the parking area in front of the Tashkent airport, which previously belonged to the municipality.
