A group of Uzbek citizens participating in a driver training program for employment in Romania has completed the first week of a two-week theoretical and practical course organized by the Migration Agency in cooperation with Romanian recruitment company Remarkable Consulting.
According to the Migration Agency, the program is designed to prepare participants for employment in Romania's logistics and freight transportation sector.
The training is being conducted by a specialist from Romania. During the first week, participants completed the theoretical component of the mandatory Code 95 certification, which is required for international commercial drivers in Europe.
Practical driving training began following completion of the theoretical courses and will continue during the second week of the program.
The Migration Agency said employment contracts are expected to be issued to successful participants next week.
During the training, Elyor Toshtemirov, Deputy Director of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, visited the participants and observed the training process.
Representatives of Remarkable Consulting, the Vatanparvar organization, and the Migration Agency also met with the trainees during the visit.
According to the agency, the program is primarily aimed at young job seekers. Participants who successfully complete the training are expected to be employed in Romania's logistics and freight transport sector, where monthly earnings are projected to range from $3,000 to $4,000.
The Migration Agency's Bukhara regional branch said it continues to implement programs aimed at facilitating legal employment opportunities for Uzbek citizens abroad.
