Uzbek citizens have been invited to apply for cruise ship jobs through one of the world’s largest maritime recruitment companies, with salaries ranging from $900 to $1,650 and legal protections provided through Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency.
According to Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency, V.Ships Global Recruitment, one of the world’s major maritime management and recruitment companies, has opened dedicated vacancies for Uzbek nationals to work aboard international cruise ships.
The positions offered include service assistant, bar waiter, second cook, cook assistant and kitchen staff. Monthly salaries range from $900 to $1,650, depending on the role.
The agency said employees may also receive salary increases and promotions based on work performance. Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years old and have at least B1-level English proficiency.
Knowledge of European languages may be considered an advantage during selection. Officials said successful candidates will have the opportunity to travel internationally while working and will also receive assistance obtaining a US work visa.
Legal protections will be guaranteed through a tripartite agreement involving the Migration Agency, the employer and the employee. To apply, candidates must submit an application through the company’s website.
Those shortlisted will be contacted by company representatives before moving on to interviews with the employer. Final-stage candidates will then sign a three-party contract and begin visa formalities.
The latest recruitment announcement follows a series of overseas employment opportunities presented to Uzbek citizens in recent months.
In May 2026, Uzbekistan announced job openings in Germany, Saudi Arabia and the United States, while earlier in the month officials also reached an agreement with Austria to attract qualified Uzbek workers for the agricultural sector.
