Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Russell Dlamini, who visited Ashgabat to take part in the International Forum commemorating the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the ministry of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan reported on December 13.
Prime Minister Dlamini extended congratulations to Turkmenistan on the 30th anniversary of its permanent neutrality and emphasized the significance of the International Forum as a platform for promoting a culture of trust and addressing contemporary issues.
Both sides highlighted the role of political dialogue and high-level contacts in strengthening mutual understanding and trust. In this context, they recalled meetings between the President of Turkmenistan and the King of Eswatini held during the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) and the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
The discussion focused on the development of bilateral relations across political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian areas. Both parties noted the importance of establishing dialogue between the business communities of Turkmenistan and Eswatini.
The participants also reaffirmed their mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation within international frameworks, particularly under the auspices of the United Nations.
