Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Ilzat Kasimov recently met with Wang Shanhua, Director General of the Jiangsu Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Jiangsu), to discuss the expansion of bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides explored opportunities to establish new manufacturing enterprises, boost digital infrastructure development, and enhance collaboration across key industrial sectors.
A number of proposals were put forward, including the creation of a special industrial zone in Uzbekistan with the participation of Jiangsu-based enterprises, the preparation of a list of Chinese companies interested in cooperation, and the formation of a joint working group to coordinate projects.
Parties also discussed organizing investment meetings to further deepen engagement between business communities.
Looking ahead, Uzbekistan and Jiangsu Province agreed to hold a series of “road show” events in 2026 in both regions to promote mutual investment opportunities and strengthen economic ties.
At the end of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to actively implement joint initiatives and fully utilize the existing potential for advancing the Uzbekistan–China economic partnership.
