Tashkent recently hosted the 7th meeting of the Uzbekistan–Saudi Arabia Intergovernmental Commission and the 6th meeting of the Entrepreneurs’ Council. More than 70 representatives from government institutions and leading Saudi companies—including Acwa Power, Al Muhaidib Group, Vision Invest, Al Arkkan, Data Volt, Riyadh Cables, Saudi Tabreed, AlBawani Holding, Miahona—participated in the events.
As a result of the talks, the two sides signed 10 bilateral documents and project agreements in the fields of energy and renewables, tourism, transport and logistics, IT, infrastructure construction, housing and communal services, and water management.
Trade between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia has also shown steady growth. In 2024, bilateral trade reached $142.4mn, while in the first eight months of 2025 it amounted to $111.5mn.
