Kazakhstan saw a 34% increase in exports to Georgia in 2024, with transit through Kazakhstan rising by 40% compared to the previous year. The total volume of transportation between the two countries reached 4.7mn tons, with transportation in the Kazakhstan-Georgia direction increasing ninefold over the past four years. Along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), traffic grew six times, reflecting the growing trade and logistical cooperation between the nations.

As part of his official visit to Kazakhstan, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, alongside Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, visited the office of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ).
During the visit, the Georgian delegation was introduced to digital innovations in Kazakhstan’s railway sector, including the "Single Digital Window" application and the smart system in railway transport. These technologies are aimed at streamlining procedures, reducing cargo transportation times, and ensuring greater transparency in railway logistics.
The strengthened partnership between NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and JSC Georgian Railways has played a key role in fostering the growth of transit flows and enhancing the economies of both countries. Their cooperation is further supported by the Middle Corridor Multimodal, a joint venture that aims to enhance the multimodal service along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).
The leaders of both nations have reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying efforts to increase cargo transportation by optimizing transport and logistics infrastructure and unlocking the potential of ports and terminals.
