Kazakhstan's oil transportation system moved a total of 57.8mn tons of oil during the first ten months of 2024. Of this, over 26%—or 15.1mn tons—was delivered to domestic refineries for local processing.
A significant portion of this volume, approximately 46.3mn tons, was transported via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), while the Atyrau-Samara section accounted for around 7.2mn tons of oil.
In terms of international exports, Kazakhstan sent 1.2mn tons of oil to Germany from January to October 2024, further solidifying its role as a key player in the global energy market.
Kazakhstan’s maritime exports were also notable, with more than 3.1mn tons of oil shipped through the Aktau port. Of this, 1.6mn tons were directed to Makhachkala port, while 1.2mn tons were sent to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.
The Atasu-Alashankou pipeline, which connects Kazakhstan to China, transported more than 1mn tons of oil during this period.
Oil transit through Kazakhstan also saw significant volumes, totaling 8.4mn tons. Of this, the Russian Federation received 8.2mn tons, while 217,000 tons were transported to Uzbekistan.
Kazakhstan’s oil exports reached a broad global market, including destinations such as Italy, the Netherlands, China, South Korea, Romania, France, Greece, Turkey, Singapore, and Germany.
