The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan is considering revisions to the procedures governing the exclusion of foreign nationals, as stated by Aslan Atalykov, Chairman of the Committee of the Migration Police.
Atalykov highlighted that the government is discussing amendments designed to enhance migration control. One significant change includes the reinstatement of a registration requirement for foreign nationals. This requirement will affect individuals intending to stay in Kazakhstan for more than 30 days, while tourists with stays of up to 30 days will remain exempt. Additionally, the Ministry plans to strengthen administrative penalties for individuals involved in fictitious registration.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has identified the current exclusion procedures as complex. Atalykov noted that the revisions aim to expedite the deportation process for serious violators of migration legislation. Individuals who repeatedly contravene these laws will be subject to quicker deportation actions.
