Expanded Cyber Security Summit to return to Tashkent in October 2024

Expanded Cyber Security Summit to return to Tashkent in October 2024

Building on the hugely successful inaugural conference, an expanded Cyber Security Summit – Central Eurasia (CSS 2024) will be held in the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel Tashkent on the 9th & 10th October 2024.

Organised by Dialogue Events and Cyber Security Centre of Uzbekistan, the CSS conference will bring together governmental cyber security agencies, computer emergency response teams (CERTs) and industry leading experts from across the world to discuss the global cyber security threat landscape including trends, predictions and the importance of international collaboration, intelligence and attribution sharing.

In additional to the main conference, CSS 2024 features an expanded programme of events including an exhibition area open to visitors free of charge as well as free to attend seminars from world leading cyber security firms. The “CyberKent 2” Hacker Competition, the largest in Uzbekistan, will once again be held alongside CSS in 2024 and will incorporate a startup zone.

At the conference, this year’s special guest speaker is the world famous hacker, Jayson E. Street, Chief Adversarial Officer at Secure Yeti who describes himself as a hacker, helper & human,

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan, having recently taken on additional authority to identify and mitigate cyber security threats across the banking and payment sector, is an official supporter of CSS 2024. The Central Bank is hosting a session on this topic, sponsored by Uzcard, and CSS will be attended by the chief information security officers from the majority of the major financial institutions operating in Uzbekistan.

The international, regional and national cyber security communities have shown their full support for the event this year with global players, such as title sponsor Cloudflare and platinum sponsors Checkpoint, Group IB, Huawei, HWG Sababa, Palo Alto and Thales all playing an active role in the content of the event. Sponsors also include Uzbekistan companies Datagaze, Onesec and Uzcard as well as international organisations ICANN, PROW, Trend Micro and Wallix.

“The success of CSS 2023 gave us the confidence to implement significant changes to the event’s format for 2024, opening the event up to engage all cyber security professionals in Uzbekistan and the wider region. All of the changes we have made to the event’s format have been done with this goal in mind.

We are delighted to renew our partnership with Cybersecurity Center which was so successful last year and are proud that the changes we have implemented will bring together such a wide range of industry professionals from government, vendors, end users and education.

We look forward to welcoming you all to CSS 2024 next month in Tashkent”. – Matthew Moss, Director, Dialogue

If you are in anyway involved in cyber security in the region, do not miss CSS 2024.
