A Kazakh delegation, led by Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov and including Food Corporation Managing Director Rustam Zhanatayev, secured key agreements in Türkiye to enhance the export of Kazakh agricultural products.
A notable development came with a major Turkish company, Armada Gıda, expressing a keen interest in boosting imports of Kazakh lentils. Armada Gıda, with its substantial experience in the Kazakh market, particularly in Kostanay, will facilitate the export of consolidated lentil shipments. This initiative aims to open international markets for Kazakh farmers and support small and medium-sized agricultural producers.
In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed with Tiryaki Holding for the supply of 250,000 tons of Kazakh wheat. Tiryaki Holding is advancing a deep grain processing project in Astana, marking a significant investment in Kazakh grain.
Rustam Zhanatayev also engaged in discussions with Ahmet Guldal, Director General of the Turkish Grain Board (TMO). They explored expanding Kazakh grain exports and attracting investment in Kazakhstan’s agricultural processing sector.
TMO, Türkiye’s principal grain market regulator, plays a crucial role in stabilizing domestic grain prices and ensuring food security by purchasing around 10mn tons of grain annually.
