According to the press service of Matchroom Boxing Promotion, substantial guaranteed fees were disclosed for both fighters involved in the match. Terence Crawford, who claimed victory, was guaranteed a fee of at least $1.2mn. Following the bout, this amount was notably enhanced by various bonuses, bringing his total earnings to $2.5mn.
In contrast, the guaranteed fee for Israil Madrimov, prior to the fight, was reported to be $400,000. However, the MMAfighting website reported an updated figure of $750,000. After the fight, Madrimov's total earnings, including broadcasting rights and other bonuses, were raised to $1mn.
This match was particularly notable for Madrimov's previous success. On March 8, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Madrimov secured the WBA belt by defeating Russian boxer Magomed Kurbanov with a knockout in the 5th round. Following this victory, Madrimov was honored with a Tahoe car upon his return to Uzbekistan.
