The Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan has issued a strong condemnation following the recent assassination attempt on the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump.
The incident, which occurred during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, left Trump with minor injuries to his right ear. The assailant, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was subsequently shot dead by law enforcement.
In a statement reported by Trend via the ministry, Turkmenistan expressed deep concern and vehemently condemned the act of violence against Trump.
The ministry conveyed wishes for Trump's swift recovery, emphasizing Turkmenistan's active role in international efforts to combat terrorism and political violence.
"Turkmenistan expresses deep concern over the news of the attempt on the life of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. We strongly condemn this act of violence and wish Donald Trump a speedy recovery," the statement read.
