Sanoat Energetika Guruhi (Saneg), Gallaaral Management, and Slovakia's leading industrial group, AZC Orbis Invest, signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a state-of-the-art plant for manufacturing railway freight cars within Uzbekistan's Gallaaral special industrial zone located in the Jizzakh region.
The signing ceremony, attended by the presence of Viktor Boretsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Uzbekistan, alongside top executives from all participating companies, marks a stride towards enhancing Uzbekistan's logistics capabilities.
"This initiative represents a pivotal moment for Saneg and the Uzbekistani industry as a whole. The establishment of a freight car manufacturing plant will bolster our logistics infrastructure, thereby enhancing the efficiency of transportation operations," Commenting on the partnership, Saneg CEO Tulkin Yusupov highlighted the strategic importance of the project.
The newly established facility will feature a comprehensive production line capable of manufacturing various types of freight cars, including tank cars, hoppers, gondola cars, and closed cars.
With an anticipated annual production capacity of approximately 2,000 cars, these specialized vehicles are poised to significantly bolster both Saneg's logistics capabilities and Uzbekistan's broader transport sector.
