The Uzeltehsanoat association has announced the commencement of construction for two new enterprises within the Eltech Industrial technology park. These facilities, located in the Akhangaran region, will specialize in the production of cable products and other essential components for energy transportation.
Enco Group is investing $57.5 mn to launch production of high-voltage cables, copper tubes, and insulated busbars, creating 485 jobs. United Cable Co. is undertaking a $20 mn project, expected to generate 160 new jobs.
Infrastructure development is progressing, with engineering communications installation ongoing. A substation for reliable power supply is 70% complete.
The decree also restricted the importation of televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners, radiators, and certain other electrical appliances into Uzbekistan. It is now compulsory for authorized service centers to be established either by the manufacturer or official dealerships.
