Eid al-Adha, which marks the end of fasting, will be celebrated at dawn on 10 April. Muslims will celebrate the blessed night of Gadyr Gijesi, symbolising spiritual purity and virtue, on the night of 5-6 April.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar, during which believers fast for 30 days. At the end of the month, Muslims celebrate Oraza Bayram. In Turkmenistan, where the majority of the population follows Sunni Islam, this day has been celebrated since 1998.
