In a bid to enhance its export capabilities, Kazakhstan is embarking on a rigorous selection process for domestic enterprises to join the Export Acceleration 2024 programs and gain access to the global marketplace via Alibaba.com, the Ministry of Trade and Integration reported.
Running from March 1 to March 31, 2024, domestic enterprises are being meticulously chosen to partake in these transformative initiatives, orchestrated by the Trade Policy Development Center “QazTrade” with staunch backing from the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Export Acceleration 2024 programs are set to engage 120 enterprises spanning vital industries such as mechanical engineering, chemical, light and food sectors, as well as service providers. The primary objective revolves around augmenting the export potential of Kazakh businesses through a suite of government-backed support measures, with a particular emphasis on nurturing promising non-resource-based small and medium-sized enterprises.
Participants in the export acceleration program will benefit from a comprehensive array of services, ranging from meticulous analytical assessments of company potential and product viability to specialized training in foreign trade regulations. Additionally, the program extends its support to aid enterprises in market selection, buyer identification, marketing campaigns, organization of B2B meetings, and the preparation of requisite export documentation.
While the concept of acceleration programs is not novel, Kazakhstan’s proactive stance aligns with global trends, with developed economies like the USA, Canada, Great Britain, and Australia, alongside developing nations, embracing similar strategies to propel export-oriented industries forward.
Over the preceding years, Kazakhstan has seen success with over 400 small and medium-sized enterprises benefiting from export acceleration programs. There has been a surge of interest from service providers, indicative of the program's widening appeal.
To promote Kazakhstani goods internationally, QazTrade has facilitated entry into major global marketplaces, notably Alibaba.com. This year, 70 Kazakhstani manufacturers and suppliers will be granted the prestigious "Gold Supplier" status on Alibaba.com, affording them unparalleled access to global markets and elevating their visibility and credibility on the platform.
The Export Acceleration 2024 program is also designed to equip entrepreneurs with the requisite skills to navigate and thrive on Alibaba.com, a platform where Kazakhstani food products, including sunflower and rapeseed oil, and chocolates, have garnered significant traction among buyers.
To inaugurate these programs, QazTrade will host an introductory webinar on March 14, inviting all interested entrepreneurs to gain insights into participation criteria and program specifics.
