This meeting follows a significant diplomatic exchange in October 2023 when the government delegation of Uzbekistan held high-level talks with the Prime Minister of Mongolia, Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, at the state residence "Ala-Archa" in Bishkek. The meeting underscored the continued development of bilateral relations and built upon the historic summit between Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh of Mongolia, which took place in Samarkand the previous year. The summit laid the foundation for strengthened ties between the two nations.
Discussions during the recent meeting focused on the future tasks and commitments required to ensure the effective implementation of agreements reached at the highest levels. Both parties acknowledged that the current volume of mutual trade does not fully realize the potential of the two nations, emphasizing the substantial room for growth in the years to come.
