The Al Farabi Kazakh National University hosted its inaugural scientific and innovative exhibition in Urumqi, Xinjiang's Uygur Autonomous Region. The event attracted 196 rectors and heads of scientific research centers from local universities, over 600 representatives from Chinese universities, leaders from 40 major enterprises, and diplomatic figures from both Kazakhstan and China, Kazinform reported on January 28.
Vice Minister of Kazakh Science and Higher Education, Darkhan Akhmed-Zaki, alongside Chairman and Rector of the Al Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, and a delegation of 30 university scientists actively participated in the exhibition.
The Al Farabi Kazakh National University seized the opportunity to showcase a spectrum of scientific and innovative projects. Among the featured exhibits was the Chemical Coating Innovations scientific and production center, renowned for producing galvanic packages. Established as part of the 90th-anniversary celebrations of the university, this center demonstrated its cutting-edge products.
As part of the collaborative efforts, universities from Kazakhstan and China engaged in an international scientific symposium. Discussions centered around shared goals and directions for scientific and educational cooperation, the commercialization of projects from the Al Farabi University, and the exchange of valuable experiences.
